It's no secret that the Aussie record label, Future Classic, has established itself as an epicenter for creative and progressive artists; their latest release only strengthens that claim. Scenic’s Shockwaves EP was a promising release, but their newest single, “Ride the Thrill”, really displays the band’s potential. Scenic seems to be finding their own sound while staying true to their style, combining wavy vocals with a racing drum kit that brings the piece together alongside a few feel-good piano chords; it dances between a psychedelic feel and an upbeat pace, producing a burst of symphonic mayhem. As stated by a SoundCloud commenter, "it really is a perfect blend of Tame Impala and Cut Copy”. No information has been announced in regards to any future releases, but be sure to look out for Scenic’s next move, because it's sure to be an interesting one.
