SBTRKT is all about the features right now. Two months ago it was the repeat-worthy collaboration with Sampha on "TEMPORARY VIEW", and now today we see the UK producer hooking up with Ezra Koenig (Vampire Weekend) on "NEW DORP. NEW YORK.", which is serving as the first single from SBTRKT's forthcoming sophomore album, WONDER WHERE WE LAND. As far as conventionality goes, SBTRKT has never been one to stay in one lane, and as we find out here, there's a lot of sonic swerving going on as Ezra Koenig's under-in-the-influence singing weaves in and out of the off-the-wall electronic production that Aaron Jerome employs. It's erratic, but quite an engaging listen.
