When it comes to the tropical-pop-themed music, St. Lucia is our go-to band, but now you better be adding the Brisbane-based vocalist and producer, Savoi, into the mix, because you're about to fall in love with the yet-to-be-discovered up-and-comer. Based on time stamps on SoundCloud, Savoi started releasing music under his name roughly nine months ago, and based on the low number of plays, the artist has somehow remained hidden. When you hear tracks like his most recent, "Distant World", and also "Into A Dream", it will become shocking to you that this guy's music hasn't been heard yet, because not only is the St. Lucia comparison going to jump immediately out at you, but his vocals brilliantly match the same output and timbre that Jean-Philip Grobler's exudes. It's an absolutely remarkable feat, and when you dive into these two amazing efforts of his, you're going to become a fan in no time at all. EDIT: "Into A Dream", it turns out, was mixed by St. Lucia's own engineer, Andi Baldwin, so that helps explains the aforementioned comparison. Also, it should be mentioned that Savoi plans on releasing his debut EP this September, so be sure to look for that. We've no doubts it'll vault him towards the top of the pop spectrum.
