Just a couple months back , we were blown away by sault ste marie's ethereal collection of tracks that ranged from chillwave, to electronic, to folk, and all kinds of combinations between the three. They eluded to a kind of dynamic overall aesthetic that we truly have not heard before, and they left us wanting several more pieces from the artist we knew little about. Today, we get our wish with new track "Breezy Montana", and what we're given with it is the perfect hybrid of chilled acoustic-folk and ODESZA's exciting electronic sound. Its wide range on the sonic spectrum gives it a refreshing, unorthodox sequence of soundscapes we're quite impressed by, and its electronically tinged vocal samples, rhythmic, feel-good beats, and various different creative components harmonize to create one distinct and energizing vibe. We've been told by the artist before that this project here is only a side one for the time being, but, honestly, if he continues to put together inventive and exciting tracks such as this and all the rest he's put out before, we're thinking it's definitely going to turn into a full-time job. Only time will tell, of course, but seems absolutely to be on the right path.
