We know you know that we know we come across a lot of electronic music these days. It's not like we choose for that to be the case, though; we simply take what the musical world is giving us, sift through it, and select what we like. When there's more of one genre to choose from than another, our tastes evolve in a super-specific fashion, and we become desensitized to the mundane, however our "mundane" may appear to sound in the ears of the general listening population. As a result, we rely on efforts like $aturn's "Pentecostic" to keep our interests fresh, at least, until the next dynamic offering of its kind comes around. We've seen the producer on our pages before with an atomic-sounding remix of his work compliments of Just A Gent, but now in his own light, $aturn sticks out spectacularly to us. Perhaps that's to be expected given the boldly spiritual title of the track (an action taken on behalf of the artist that usually aids in the reception of the track), but sonically, "Pentecostic" shines. It's a plethora of celestial synths and starry percussion, and it's enough dynamic dips within to keep us continually on our toes. We don't see that very often in efforts such as these; they're usually too scattered to make creative sense to us, but in $aturn's track here, there's enough well-composed pieces to keep us attracted instead of repelled. You're free to be your own critic, of course, but there's no denying the amount of courageous inclusions the artist's here employed.
