Sango and Waldo are the bread and butter of the Grand Rapids, Michigan, hip-hop scene, and well on their way to becoming a nationally recognized tandem, too. They've released multiple projects together, gained considerable acclaim in the process, and have ears dripping with anticipation every time talk of additional collaborations come about. Today, they've dropped Until Then, a five-track project chronicling the silent days of our lives, "the days we spend working towards or away from our goals", and, of course, it's gems on it we've to share like a reflex kicking in. The first, "SNS", features Waldo flying by understated, bass-packed electronic served nice and neatly by his pal, and the next, a SPZRKT-featured track entitled "Crossroads", delves deeply into spiritual conversations that either lyrical artist partakes in. Our final highlight, "Rushed Perfection", resumes Waldo's accelerated pace on the project, and really sees a beautiful twist by Sango on the latter half of the effort. It almost feels like a whole different track, but it rounds out "Rushed Perfection" rather perfectly, despite the jump in vibes. There are plenty of them on Until Then, certainly, and while we wait for more fantastic workings from the two Michigan stalwarts, we'll be keeping the aforementioned efforts in steady rotation. Stream Until Then in its entirety on SoundCloud, and help the support the two with a $1 purchase of the project on Bandcamp.
