Earlier today, emerging electronic supergroup Point Point put out their second volume of Filet Mignon, a massive twenty-one-track affair riddled with work from various electronic artists they believe to be the "artistic generation of tomorrow". Though some of the efforts on it were surely more appealing than others, the second, San Holo and The Nicholas' "Hiding", took us by sweet, sweet surprise. We had no idea who either of the artists were up until we saw them on the mixtape here, so props to Point Point must be given for turning us on indirectly to them. They've (San and Nicholas) executed an absolute banger of an electronic track with "Hiding", incorporating huge, rhythmic chords, bleeping synths, manipulated samples over more organic vocals, and just fantastic progression from start to finish. "Hiding" is surely empowering as an introspective listen, but perhaps it's better suited still for bigger events with its sweeping sounds and high-reaching energy. Regardless, it's a tantalizing listen wherever and however it's listened to, and you'd do well, like us, to familiarize yourself with the ones behind it.
