We featured Samuel Truth's "Maya" on our list of the best instrumentals of the year, and for obvious reasons. The track was as breathtakingly vibrant as any we had heard in the genre, and the grandiosity of the sound emitted inspired us to illuminate it necessarily to all audiences we could possibly touch. Today, the Auckland, NZ producer released his latest intriguing composition, an effort entitled "Lights Off" off of his After Ours EP slated for sharing in January. The track is every bit as intimate as the one mentioned above, with synths ebbing in audibility before giving way to some truly hypnotic percussion that'll leave you in a trance. From that point, the sound elevates further, seeing each element evolve into a concoction of soulful goodness that unfolds at a pace perfect for vibing out. There's no doubting the fact that you'll be absorbed by the atmosphere of the track, so while you indulge inspirationally in it below, consider queing some other, similarly tantalizing works from the artist, found HERE. And don't even think about ignoring his After Ours EP out next month, either; it's going to be something special.
