Pomo returns to our pages with a stunning remix of "Lay Me Down" here that is nothing short of excellent. We, like everyone else, have come across a plethora of Sam Smith interpretations, but Pomo's is one that's actually been able to capture our attention. Employing his usual synth-pop sound, Pomo makes the original a bit more dance-like, and we're totally digging it. The way Smith's vivid vocals are infused simply dazzle us, and if you compare them here with how they appear on the original track, it would seem unthinkable to compose a more upbeat version. Pomo's done just that, though, and if you break down his piece into two parts, you'd be graced with funk-pop initially, and then slow, assonant sounds later on. Of course, the two segments coalesce into the great piece Pomo has sculpted, and the legitimate wholesomeness it exudes is one you're definitely going to want to take a part in.
