"Paranoia, Ghosts & Other Sounds" is the newest track to come from the Sydney-based trio, SAFIA, who take a bit of a departure from previous efforts with the slight reggae-influence found here. It's nothing you would expect considering what we've heard previously, but it just goes to show you that SAFIA isn't about regurgitating their sound. The R&B tones of lead vocalist, Benjamin Joseph, are still there leading the way, but perhaps stealing the show is the magnificence of the production that takes control during the tail-end of the track, as it ascends into a storm of cacophony that makes you feel like you're teetering on the edge of cliff without knowing what happens at the end. Perhaps this is what SAFIA wanted in the first place, but either way, we're sure there's more material to conclude this strong effort moving forward.
