We’ve followed Saba for quite a while now, and you could say he’s one of a handful of rappers who manages to up his game at a consistent rate. There’s no doubt he’s set to make even more noise after his latest piece, “Next Door”, too, and its featuring of Lucki Eck$ is only going to solidify that fact. "Next Door" is a straight Chicagoan affair, with CHAD taking charge on the icy beat that's packed with laid-back synths and ideally paced hats and lays an obliging stage for Saba and Eck$ to dive on. The first half of the track sees Saba teeing off with an instantly singable chorus, and what follows is a verse that manages to blend notions of aggression and affection without the slightest fault. Eck$ enters later on, and he swirls effortlessly with the beat, too—really making the piece one strong from start to finish.
