Two of Chicago's leading up-and-comers came together on "Burnout"—a track taken from Saba's sophomore mixtape, COMFORTzone. The track picked up a lot of attention (over 80,000 SoundCloud plays and counting), as did Saba himself, who saw his music covered by all the major publications. "Burnout" is a particular standout from his mixtape, with his flow earmarking him apart from other rising rappers, and the vocals of Eryn Allen Kane serving them in a spellbinding way. Eryn is a star in the making, herself, and her delivery of the hook on this commercial-leaning track confirms that. Every strong track deserves a video to do it justice, and this one very much has one. Directed by Tom Vin, Elijiah Alvarado, and Caves—and produced by the Chicago's Heart of the City—the video shows the track artwork come to life and be revealed as a dreamlike sequence at the end.
