London's Ryan Downie has only been using his moniker here for a short amount of time, but he's already making a name for himself with what attentive ambient-pop he's putting forth. Our first official introduction to him was at the end of 2015 with debut single “Scintillate”, and, building upon his sound, he employs here equally effective vocal work and harmonies with “Simple Place To Be”. It is another impressive entry from him—one with beautifully layered notes and minimalist stereo elements that will reward those who listen for them—and we definitely recommend headphones for it.
