Known for their majestic, ambient, and five-sense-conquering sounds is the Seattle/Oakland production duo, Blue Sky Black Death (BSBD), who have taken Killer Mike and EL-P's "36" Chain" deep into the psyche of their creative minds, pulling ideas from the ether of endless sonic possibilities. Sometimes a remix doesn't need to have everything piled on it to make you notice it, though, and sometimes, all you need is an atmospheric touch or two that adds a subtle edge to it, allowing the original piece to shine in a new light. In the case of BSBD's remix here, the energy of the original remains, but now it's thrusted into a new soundscape that puts you in a nostalgic space.
