We've seen exceptional talents from Sweden plenty of times in the past, and Ruby Empress, a brand-new band from the place, is furthering that sonic torch-bearing with their debut track, "Deluca". The single has already racked up half a million plays on SoundCloud (we're a little late to the party here), and it is quite evident that they are making a grand entrance with it onto the music scene. "Deluca" has a sound that can be described as charming, lo-fi alternative, and it is packed with exhilarating components that come as a pleasant, refreshing surprise in the latter portion of the track. The instrumentation used is quite traditional, showcasing punchy drum beats, cool, airy guitar strums, and some groovy basslines, yet the deft arrangements provide for a refreshing production overall.
