With an atmosphere to match these lengthening summer nights, London's Royce Wood Junior has shared "Clanky Love" ahead of his debut album, The Ashen Tang. Those familiar with his earlier work will be pleased with the powerful vocal performance in "Clanky Love" (it climbs nicely over a dainty piano and guitar lead), and though at first listen the song appears to be overly positive being driven by beautiful backing instruments, there is a sadness behind the playful chords that the aforementioned piano provides. "Clanky Love" certainly sets the bar high for the June 8-released debut work, and we await eagerly more material from it to come our way.
