When you're inundated on a daily basis with so much music that constantly sounds the same, it gets quite tiring. So when a band like Royal Canoe comes along and drops something completely unique, your appreciation for them goes up significantly. The case and point can be found in the off-the-wall track, "If I Had A House", from Royal Canoe's debut album, Today We’re Believers. From the raw aggression of the lead vocals that surround enigmatic percussion and eerie melody chants, a track like this is simply not something you hear everyday (especially leaving the all-to-common 4/4 time signature).
