Hitting a tropical vibe just right is one way straight into our hearts at HD, whether it's within an indie-pop setting, or a house one. Today, the Vancouver-based group, Bear Mountain, contributes the latter sound to us with a pumping remix of Rosie June's most popular track, "Sound It Out". However, rather than give us the full on rainbows-and-butterflies sound that we'll often hear from guys like Thomas Jack and Kygo (which there's nothing wrong with, by the way), Bear Mountain has thrown a bit of a darker spin on the track which we're really enjoying. Panning vocal bits, refreshing marimbas, and a growing beat introduce the remix, but without wasting much time at all, the darker synths and deep bass set in, creating that somewhat dark sound that we previously mentioned. The song progresses through a few different segments, sometimes consisting of nothing more than the marimbas and vocals—other times radiating a surfeit of blissful layers—but overall, the elements amount to a brilliant house offering that definitely stands apart from the sonic status quo.
