It's been over two years since Soulection launched their White Label series, and, today, we're given the 18th installment, courtesy of producer ROM, who nails each one of the three tracks within. The Birmingham-based beatmaker isn't foreign to the scene at all, having dropped multiple genre-defying efforts to date, but we perhaps have here his most refined sounds overall. Featuring timeless, soul-lit vocals from London singer Emmavie, "You Love Em", the first vocalist-featuring track on the body of work, draws one in quite instantly, and alongside sparkling, funk-led melodies ROM sticks in, the track sticks out pretty well. The other two pieces on the project, "Free As A Bird" and "ONE MORE", are teeming with high quality and class as well, with Los Angeles producer DEFFIE providing vintage electronic on the latter track.
