The latest DIE HIGH release, a four-track EP entitled Purple Island, was released yesterday to an unfortunately overlooking audience, judging by the lack of plays that the material has received up to this point. There's no reason to fault the Sydney producer Roleo whose efforts are the ones behind the body of work; his catalog is not a particularly new one in the producing realm; he's material on his SoundCloud page dating back several years, but we all know how little that amounts to without the proper cosigner pushing it, unfortunately. DIE HIGH offered to fill that illuminative role for him, though, agreeing to see Purple Island released through their burgeoning name. The EP itself is littered with crisply layered synths that fluctuate in frequency throughout, and it contains grooves funky enough to dance spontaneously to, regardless of ability or prior experience. "LoveHate" happens to portray the particular feels as the initial effort, and it sets a magnificently electronic tone that cascades into the similar track that follows. "Back To Da Future" eventually breaks into the vibes with some trap elements, and a more mysterious ambiance is introduced for a slight duration of time.before The mood swings back with "Driptex" to incorporate the enthusiastic electronic rooted deeply within the EP, and it's with the final effort that we have confirmed presence of the capabilities exhibited by the producer.
