Earlier this year, we suggested that UK singer-songwriter Robyn Sherwell was to be one on your musical radar. Hopefully you took our advice, because today, we're pleased to present to you with her latest offering, albeit with some additional help from Glaswegian-based producer, Turtle. Jon Cooper (Turtle) is a well-established singer and songwriter in his own right, actually, but it's his distinct, so-prolific remix style that makes having his name attached to your track a badge of honor—and one we're sure Robyn is wearing with pride. True to his style seen on other recent remixes for the likes of Eliza Shaddad, ATTU, and Phoria, Cooper thrives by paying genuine respect to the source material. Particular elements are meticulously selected and accentuated to create an honest variation that is true to Turtle’s vision, yet allows the heart of the original to beat throughout. Cooper re-purposes the original wispy guitar riff with a healthy dose of reverb to create the foundation upon which he builds his rework, and Robyn’s sultry vocals pierce through the hazy hue as each musical constituent is introduced, transforming the slow-jam vibe into a electronic array that is distinctly Turtle.
