We’ve a knack for the kind of soulful vibes found in Robyn Sherwell’s music, and with her latest release here, “Islander,” the aspiring talent has a new rock-tinted sound that has us equally ecstatic. It provides an intriguing change of pace from her previous release, “Low"—one which utilized a more laid-back sound with smooth-flowing notes—and its included percussion and rumbling drums keep the notes in line to allow the vocals of Sherwell to shine. We can't say we're surprised.
