Yesterday Canadian electro-pop remixing phenom, Robotaki, released an 2 track EP of original tracks titled Raton Laveur. The second track is the title track - a feverish electro-disco tune that was very well-received when we featured a preview of it and the first track falls very much in line with that except that it has the added bonus of Hey Champ's masterful vocals on hand. It was really just a matter of time before Robotaki made the move from remixing upper-echelon pop tunes to producing his own hits. It's natural progression and a step that RAC, another top-tier remixer, just took as well. Robotaki retains the musical style that people so adored in his remixes as the synths come fast and furiously in "It's Still About You" while Hey Champ champion a catchy melody. We can only hope that this leads to many more quality collaborations for the young producer.
