About five months ago, Robokid entered a new era of his career with the release of "Next Year", which was the first song to feature his own writing and singing. This past Friday, he carried that momentum into the release of his new Apart EP, and, today, we're shining a light on "Worth It". "Worth It", the project's standout, is brilliant for the most bizarre reasons. The lyrics are vague, yet mesmerizing and universal, and the mix on the vocals let you hang on every word. It almost feels like an exercise in how low-key the vocals can be on a massive pop hit, and it deserves to be mentioned in the same conversation as Charli XCX's Pop 2. With production by both Robokid and Brenton Duvall, "Worth It" feels like the start of something new, and we're excited to see what exactly that "new" is.
