Robokid has been in our archive since his dazzling Mind & Body EP from 2013, but he's grown immensely since then. Saying that, we feel we haven't heard him begin to hit his stride, but that might be changing with his new single, "Next Year". The track's instrumentation is drenched in a delightful grittiness, which, when matched with his introverted vocals, results in an unmistakably cutting-edge and fresh sound. We can confidently claim that it's the strongest offering we've heard from the LA-based artist yet, and we're now very excited to hear what other solo work he has ahead.
