Rizzo’s new track, featuring San Francisco rapper A-1 and Caleb Eberhardt, is not your standard indie-rap collaboration. “Sun/Blind” opens up with a simple guitar riff that makes the track feel like it’s been pulled straight from a 90’s alt-rock album. Give it a couple of seconds though, and Rizzo, Caleb, and A-1 come in with series of verses that synch up surprisingly well with the melody. Wait just a bit longer, and the chorus comes in with its unorthodox take on the concept of harmonizing, and really gives the song an identity separate from almost anything out there right now. All three artists are known for a unique take on their respective genres, and this collaboration showcases that perfectly.
