We first came across vocalist-producer Richie Quake through "Visions", a piece that had us genre-hopping but also quite absorbed in his own unique style, but now today, he's exposing yet another coating in the form of R&B-tinged tune "Slow Down". The Brooklyn-based artist has a handful of tracks to his name at this point, and with this new one here, you can tell that he's set to soar at some point soon. Quake only takes on the vocal front on this particular piece, and he's accompanied artistically by New York residents Ari Finkel (guitar), Zach Berns (drums), and Josh Pleeter (mastering). The result of their efforts is going to find favor with fans of inky, electronic-led R&B, and with Richie dominating in the vocal department with wistful lyricism and a slightly chromatic sequence, there's no way it's one that won't be enjoyed.
