If you're familiar with RHODES, it's probably because you're one of the millions of music fans who have thoroughly enjoyed "Your Soul" in all of its soft-edged glory. However, while RHODES still doesn't have a full album out, he has so much more to offer than just that one song, and although it may not happen right away, this budding artist will have no problem eschewing his membership from the one-hit wonder club. This Rationale remix of "Close Your Eyes" is the perfect example of his diverse talent, and while much credit is due in Rationale's corner (he absolutely killed the production work), it's the songwriting that takes center stage here, and, certainly, it holds up quite nicely to the funky pops and runs that each synth line emits as it weaves its way through the lyrics. Both Rationale and RHODES are forces you shouldn't take lightly, and when they team up like this, then the result is nothing short of amazing. We have here one of those easy-listening songs that can also get you moving if the situation calls for it, and the versatility that is on full display with the track will keep you coming back for more no matter how many times it's played.
