We’re not ones to throw around The Weeknd references lightly (tracks of equal quality seem to be hard to come by), but Pigeons & Planes' comparison for Virginian emcee REECE on new track “Don’t Go" seems correctly stated. REECE has really locked into his higher-pitched vocal tone that goes along so well with the electronic behind it, and the overall feel of the track is one that’ll be sure to win people over in a significant way. There’s a really unique fluxing vibrato he employs, too, and it all settles well when kept on the surface by the underlying snare and kicker provided behind him by Jumpa. "Don't Go" is a bit of new artistic avenue for REECE, and with it we must say we're pretty pumped to see what more he has in store. [via P&P]
