Real Slow is an electronic music producer who's been absolutely killing it lately, and incredible amounts of features on blogs and collectives over the past couple of months has solidified this fact. His sonic brand is one that sounds syrupy at times, refreshing at others, and infused with dance-eliciting energy at others yet—and the man behind the beats, Dylan Marks, is intent on exploring and creating each side of his sound. "Girl U Know" is the latest intriguing piece to come by way of the Australian up-and-comer, and among the three aforementioned styles, it relates most closely to the last. It does sound a bit like some of his other works, at least, in part (perhaps this is why he has the effort paired up with an earlier-released, similarly sounding one on Bandcamp), but that doesn't mean we like it any less or think any less of the man behind it. "Girl" stands vibrantly on its own with Slow's trademark synth chords, keenly used samples, and dance-inducing atmosphere—and it'll only bolster his sonic repertoire as a result.
