Real Slow has an iconic sound, and it's criminal that it's not any more popular than it already is. Although hard to pinpoint to a tee, it wavers between squeamish, quirky-sounding electronic and a more dance-throbbing, bass-bolstered kind, but almost always, it's incredibly attractive and pleasant to the ear. With latest track "Fiji Water" taken from online music collective alaya.'s second compilation of tracks, we're privy to more of the latter kind of sound, and it's plain awesome. Real Slow's work here may be best fit for the night or some super chilled-out sessions with friends, but any environment surely stands to gain from the track's expansive and truly empowering presence. It's got heavy drums, floor-breaking bass, and some familiar-sounding vocal chops to spice the piece up in as sweetly a low-key manner as possible.
