Real Slow can certainly get added to our (imaginary) list of self-explanatory monikers we've in mind, simply due to the leisurely moving chillwave he concocts, and his latest piece, “Drowned Out", truly exemplifies his depiction of the ever-popularizing sound. The Australia-residing producer gives us yet another reason to accolade the musical proficiency of the territory with his effort, and puts himself in the unique alcove of hip-hop garnished chillwave through it. On the track itself, RS employs elegant, shadowed chords, bit-crushed, low-pitched cuts, and adroitly constructed drums to get his sonic energy across. Resounding subs exhilarate the ambling backdrop continually, and startling chiptune inclusions on the breakdown make for quite a sonic escapade overall. RS has been around the block for just over a month now, and we expect nothing but incredible development of his sound in the days, weeks, and months to come.
