RAYE is herself an R&B phenom in the making. She's barely old enough to have a license, but already, she's storming through the the aforementioned genre with her otherworldly talent and really quite incredible confidence in her tone. We were fortunate to premiere her dazzling debut project, Welcome To The Winter, five months ago, and now, we're brought again to her brilliant sounds by way of a remix of one of the tracks on that body of work. "Bet U Wish" is the particular work redone, and the man draping an extraordinary electronic tone on it now is Lucian, a producer in New York who's had serious success reworking a number of tracks in the past. Here, he's instilled some effervescent synths, eclectic percussion, and a whole host of vocal twists to incite interest, and really, there isn't one dull moment through the entire track. The pace is quick but never truly overwhelming, and enough source material from the original exists to satisfy fans of the former artist talked about. Lucian's definitely covered his bases in that regard, and, as a matter of doing so, he's another stellar remix in his ever-increasing collection of them.
