Kill Them With Colour is an act that churns out pristine pieces every other month, and while each of them are thoroughly enchanting, the duo also manages to venture out into divergent wings of the sonic sphere, constantly experimenting with various tempos and genres and dilating their production skill set as a result. The Canadian group has remixed a potpourri of artists in the past, and the one they’ve gone with this time is the multi-talented artist Raury, whose half-year old gem, “God’s Whisper”, sees itself in a completely new facade. Displaying their sampling skills, KTWC thoroughly recreate the original, giving Raury’s vocals an anthemic feel by fusing choir-like backdrops and snare-heavy build-ups. Editing of the actual vocals is kept at a minimum, and shades of the original are certainly detectable, making the track that much more immersive for the fans of the original. The drop emerges with exuberant synths and accelerated hats, prompting all sorts of head gestures, and with the ever-altering arpeggios, the piece is more than a burst of artistic flavor. KTWC has been on a roll for over a year now, and though their routine releases keep avid listeners busy, their pieces do have quite a perpetual character about them.
