Raury has been as methodical as any artist out with regard to his rolling out of releases. He's extraordinarily meticulous, thoughtful, and heartfelt with his approach to his craft, and he really lets no effort of his ever go to waste. It's pretty rare for an individual to be as detail-oriented as he is, and, because of his structured and strategic approach, we get tracks like "Friends" every now and again to enjoy. The new track—one that premiered with Annie Mac today—features Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine, and it serves interestingly as a glamorous-sounding indie-folk and rock number that's really quite nostalgic and unique. That recipe is nothing new for the Atlanta resident, of course, but it's nice to know again here that he's going nowhere with his pleasurable, conscious-piercing sounds.
