Rory Graham (Rag'n'Bone Man) is a British singer-songwriter with an imposing vocal presence—one unlike anything we have in today's music scene. His debut album, Human, is a showcase for his one-of-a-kind voice, and, clearly, the album's producers knew this, as they showed great restraint in adding electronic flourishes to the album's timeless soul and gospel core. Human is certainly a serviceable launching point for the career of the (potentially) game-changing talent. Graham's gruff and boundless voice supplies more than a few awe-inspiring moments, but those moments are often overshadowed by a team on the brink of stardom, playing it far too safe and not taking the necessary risks. Taking everything into account, this body of work signals a stark arrival for Rag'n'Bone, and, whether it takes off as it should or not, it'll serve as a solid foundation from which he can build off of ahead.
