While '80s nostalgia has been a noticeable trend in pop over the past year or two, producer RAEKO has managed to combine old and new sounds perfectly on his latest effort, "Need 2 Know". "Need 2 Know" is an irresistible, retro-inspired dance track courtesy of Sir Sly's keyboardist, Jason Suwito, making music under the new moniker here. And while Suwito certainly impresses with his production chops, Mating Ritual's lithe, soulful voice moves the track from good to great. Keep an eye out for RAEKO and Mating Ritual heading into the fall, as the two musicians sounds great together and could very well collaborate on more releases ahead.
