Amongst the flurry of breathtaking releases today, Gravez would be the last beatmaker you’d expect making an appearance on HD, considering it’s only been a couple of days since we heard the craftily composed “Seek”, which we went on to post yesterday. Now, he's portrayed further intuitive dexterity on a rendition of Rae Sremmund's "No Type", and with it, the Georgian seems to have already found his strong suit in the borderless sonic sphere—one that revolves around a potent blend of bass-embellished hip-hop and a few measures of trap-inflected electronic. The palatable concoction on the track is one to savor immediately, with Rae's sunlit vocal sample gliding through a clap-hefty buildup and some see-sawing chords, and when you least expect it, the cut accelerates with a sparkling drum sequence and a couple Mr. Carmack-esque stabs. The piece then alternates between breakdowns and drops in downright scintillating fashion, and with Sremmurd coasting alongside, the piece illuminates another futuristic character of Gravez's we can’t seem to get enough of. Let's hope there's plenty more to come in the future.
