We just posted an Oceaán remix here a little while ago, but the dude is on a roll right now, so here's another nugget of remix gold from the Manchester-based producer who's already got a hefty number of solid tracks under his belt. Rae Morris, the subject of his latest musical affixation, already wowed the music world last year with her From Above EP, and then more recently with tracks like "Skin", but this remix takes all of her soulful vocals, and pairs them with some big production work to form the backbone of a beautiful track. Oceaán's remix takes Rae's sound away from its natural habitat, but because her voice is so versatile, everything works out perfectly (if you didn't know any better, it would be easy to assume this was an original mix). Oceaán lets the layers slowly compound as the music begins to unfold, but never does he overindulge, and as a result, the entire track posses a balance that guards against noise clutter while also ensuring each aspect of the piece hits as hard as possible. We're big fans of both of these artists here at Hillydilly, so the fact that this remix is such a win isn't that much of a surprise, but it's still nice to know that when artists like Rae and Oceaán combine, the end result is just as good as the sum of its parts.
