Now, I am sure there is something clever to be said about the contradictory elements of a name such as Racing Glaciers, but oxymoron aside, the guys within comprise just an incredible band. Hailing from Macclesfield in the UK, they are an outfit that possess a refreshingly captivating sound for a band so fresh in their career. Those familiar with their previous work will notice a remarkable departure from the softer post-folk aesthetic of their self-titled EP, as this quintet embrace the task of writing new material with gusto. An arresting keyboard arrangement and bold drum fills herald in "New Country", the lead-single from their upcoming release, Ahead Of You Forever. The harmonised vocals, wailing guitars, and stomping percussion create a rich sound unlike anything they have produced before, demonstrating a potential that could see these young men make some serious waves in the pool of indie-pop.
