Racing Glaciers

Moths

We're always ecstatic when a band that we love remixes another band that we love; this is exactly the case with Carousel taking on Racing Glaciers' "Moths". Carousel, a duo hailing from LA, popped up three years ago out of nowhere with their debut track, "Games", which presented smooth electro-pop before it was cool. From there, they've been steadily gaining popularity until reaching their respectable current position, and with their status, they're definitely capable of reaching new heights with the right set of sounds. Next, there's Racing Glaciers, who might be on the same path that Carousel traveled years ago. Although the British band debuted their first material in 2012, they've only just started gaining significant hype with the recent release of their Ahead of You Forever EP. Now, Racing Glaciers is ready to boost their hype to a whole new level with Carousel's twist on "Moths". Carousel decided to greatly implement their signature electronic sound into the remix, opening the track with bouncing synths behind the captivating vocals of Tim Monaghan (Racing Glaciers lead vocalist). The duo then releases a refreshing wave of harmonic synths and upbeat percussion, giving the song a blissful feel. However, the real magic lies in Carousel's ability to maintain a smooth feel while adding in subtleties throughout, and they absolutely put this talent to use during the course of the remix. Both of these bands are just about ready to blow, so be sure to check out the mixture of their sounds below.
