We've come to know R I T U A L as quite a recognizable R&B act by now, and they've unquestionably matured with every new piece they've put out, as their latest, Lisa Hannigan-assisted number, "Josephine", clearly shows. Coming off an exceptional cameo role on Frances' "When It Comes To Us", they wholly share their talent on this particular piece, and the aforementioned Hannigan provides an enchanting folk-laced verse as well. "Tranquil" is one of the many words that can be used to describe R I T U A L's sound, and the notion is in abundance on "Josephine", with the lead vocalist carrying out satin-like deliveries beside sensitive, affectionate lyricism. Lisa's distinct touch on the vocal end adds further character to the track as a whole, and alongside the dusky production there is, there's much here to enjoy.
