We came across r.e.l. a few months ago, and though we decided that her first release, "All That Bite", was not quite enough for an HD share, with the release of her debut EP today, we've two new, accompanying tracks in "Plateau" and "Headed For The Sun" that we're definitely digging and want to be heard. Only nineteen years of age, one would perhaps expect r.e.l. to be flush with inexperience as it pertains to music, but when you listen to her music, that thought will fly out of rationality. Not once does she fill in her lines with cliches, nor does she rely on super-polished pop production that takes away from the heart of it all. Her music is very much her own, and it shows in her gorgeously spirited songs.
