Purity Ring

repetition

When it comes to electro-pop, there are few acts putting out work as recognizable and exceptional as Purity Ring. Their debut album, Shrines, gained widespread acclaim and catapulted the duo into stardom, and now more recently, the two have been building hype for their rapidly approaching sophomore affair, Another Entity, that will feature one of our favorite songs from this past January, "begin again". Just tonight the duo stopped by BBC Radio 1, and during their time on air, they offered another excellent taste of their upcoming project in the form of "repetition", a track conveying their characteristically chilling and celestial vibe. Megan James' distinctive croon is in full blossom on the track, and Corin Roddick has crafted masterfully an energizing array of synths and electronic percussion to guide her voice along. We're genuinely blown away by the creativity and originality that Purity Ring has been pumping into their music lately, and we've a feeling that another entity could become one of the years biggest electro-pop releases when it's all said and done. Be sure to check out their latest unraveling from it here, therefore, and be extra sure in to check back in for the album's release on March 3.
