For many, Purity Ring ushered in what present-day perception of future-leaning electro-pop we have with their debut, critically acclaimed album, Shrines, back in 2012. The album laid the groundwork for many, many new acts to use as inspiration, and now, three years later, the duo is back with another masterpiece in the form of their dazzlingly celestial sophomore LP, another eternity. Although the album might not be as revolutionary as Shrines, it really is another excellent effort put forth by Purity Ring, as Megan James (vocals) and Corin Roddick (production) have brilliantly solidified the sound that the previous work established. Their style—one making perfect use of James' croons and billows and Roddick's thunderous percussion and heavy synths—remains very consistent throughout the entire LP, so if you enjoy any of our highlights we have below, you're likely to be fond of the whole bunch. After listening through the standout cuts, do yourself and the artists a favor by purchasing the work on iTunes, picking up a physical copy of the album HERE, and/or seeing them on tour on a day specified on their site.
