Maybe tossing out that Purity Ring comparison to Sylvan Esso earlier today was a bit much, because if there was ever a sound that you could truly compare to Purity Rings', it would definitely be prints_'. Now who's prints_, you ask? Well, good question. It seems to be the trend these days to receive very little information pertaining to new artists. All we can tell you is that prints_ are a duo (even that's an educated guess) from LA, and have only two songs on Soundcloud, each uploaded a year ago, and each in possession with low play counts. But, like any good piece of music that instantly blows you away, the information takes a backseat to the sound when you hear prints_ for the first time. Of course you'll want to spout off comparisons right away (like we did), but once you get settled in, all cares about comparability disappear. The engulfing synth-heavy melodic hazes and lush, airy vocals characterizing their sound will make you want to pinch yourself. The music is that good. Expect this band to receive some major buzz from both of these songs instantly.
