This one is just basic math, plain and simple. With the combined forces of Pretty Lights and Odesza on one track, it would be silly to bet against the music being anything but awesome. Pretty lights has been around for a minute now, but his style is still as relevant as ever, so when "One Day They'll Know" got the remix treatment from the up-and-coming Seattle super-duo, Odesza, we jumped for a listen, and we were not disappointed. The original is basically a cut-up soul track complete with industrial synths, strings, and organ samples for good measure, but Odesza has taken their rendition of "One Day They'll Know" to a much different place. All the deep rumblings in Pretty Lights' version have been swapped out for a smoother bass line, and the textures have gotten a lot lighter. What you end up with is a beautifully composed song that still has plenty of kick for when you feel the need to crank it up loud.
