It's been impressive to say the least how Pretty Lights has always given his music away for free over the years. Even as he continues to get bigger the formula has stayed the same. While this business model definitely does not work for everyone, you gotta give it up to him for taking the chances and not trying to fight the "illegal" downloads. I'd say it's worked out pretty good — just take a look how many kids go to his shows. Today, we are happy to pass on to you his 4th full-length, A Color Map To The Sun. What immediately separates ACMTTS from all his other albums, is that this album contains absolutely zero samples. From this direction, ACMTTS, sounds completely unique. The crazy thing about this album is how thick with substance it is. With so many tracks, beat changes and complex soundscapes, it's like each song is its own album. When you run through the album you really do lose yourself in each different track, so please give yourself some time when you go through this. Although the album is being given away for free, we encourage you to support this guy and buy a digital or physical copy of the album (read his words and you will want to support). Along with the album comes the 3 bonus tracks + a collection of songs they recorded live off the floor during the recording of A Color Map To The Sun.
