We were incredibly smitten with PREP's debut track, "Cheapest Flight", when it came out three months ago. It had the perfect blend of alternative-indie-pop and jazz fusions, and it provided quite a smooth and unique sound that we haven't yet grown tired of. We knew that subsequent efforts would flower forth as a result of this first one, but we had no idea that the next PREP piece would turn out to be a remix of the track. George Reid from AlunaGeorge, it turns out, is the lucky first individual able to try his hand at the track, and he does a fabulous job integrating dance elements into it. He increases the pace just a bit to get his groovy vibe in, and his funky synths and included sax add extreme intrigue to the mix. "Cheapest Flight", the original, is not entirely lost in its reworking here, but it's certainly been transformed, and we quite like what it's become.
