It's not every day that a debut track can make you sit up and REALLY take notice. Sure there are a lot of talented acts coming up who have a lot to say and a great sound, but debut track "Call Yourself A Lover" from LA group Pr0files absolutely hits it out of the park. Indie-electro-pop is inherently ear-catching to begin with, relying on heavy synth grooves and uptempo drum lines to get people up and moving around. Pr0files have that sound in spades, but with that extra step that truly sets them apart. "Call Yourself A Lover" is like dance music but with an infusion of soul, and will instantly be a mainstay on your playlist. The track is taken from their upcoming debut album Jurassic Technologie, which, if it stays true to the direction they appear to be heading, will be an epic release absolutely not to be missed.
